Sterling Power PCU Temperature Sensor — TEMP1
The Sterling Power PCU Temperature Sensor (TEMP1) is the battery temperature sensor for use with Pro Charge Ultra and Pro Charge Ultra Plus AC battery chargers. It connects directly to the charger’s temperature sensor input and mounts at the battery negative terminal to measure battery temperature in real time.
On lead acid battery profiles (AGM, gel, flooded), the temperature sensor enables automatic charge voltage compensation — increasing voltage in cold conditions to ensure full charging, and reducing it in heat to prevent overcharge damage. On lithium profiles, temperature compensation does not occur, but the sensor provides a critical safety function: if battery temperature drops to 0°C or below, the charger stops charging entirely to protect lithium cells from damage during cold-temperature charging.
The sensor is included as standard with all current Pro Charge Ultra Plus models. This listing is for replacement or additional sensors for existing installations.
