Description
A hidden gem in the Ceará coast Fortim is a small fishing village 90 minutes south of Fortaleza — in the same state as kite mecas Jericoacoara, Prea and Cumbuco, but far less crowded and far more charming. At low tide, a 3-kilometer flat lagoon forms at the mouth of the Jaguaribe River delta, creating a natural paradise for kiteboarding at every level. When the tide shifts, wave spots and breathtaking downwinds round out the session. Between the water and the village, you’ll find caipirinha, local cuisine, buggy rides through dunes, horseback rides along the shore — and the warmest people in Brazil.
